Dashboard Overview and Navigation

Learn how to navigate the FormRobin dashboard and access all key features.

Main Dashboard

When you log into FormRobin, you'll see the main dashboard which displays analytics and quick access to your forms.

Dashboard Features

  • Analytics overview cards - Total forms, Form starts, Submissions, and Conversion rate with sparkline charts
  • Analytics timeframe - Filter data by Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Past 12 Months, or All Time (Individual Plan and above)
  • Recent activity - Latest form submissions with quick access to session details
  • Top forms - Your highest-performing forms ranked by submissions, with quick links to View, Analytics, and Edit

Note: Analytics timeframe filtering requires Individual Plan. Free users see All Time data only.

The top navigation bar includes:

  • Dashboard - Return to the analytics overview
  • Forms - Access your forms list
  • Your name - Displays your account name and tier badge (shows "Lifetime" for Individual Plan)
  • Hamburger menu - Access settings, plan, help, and more

Hamburger Menu

Click the hamburger icon (three horizontal lines) in the top right to access:

  • Settings - Integrations, webhooks, Meta Pixel, and API settings
  • Plan - View and manage your subscription
  • (divider)
  • Feedback - Submit feature requests or report issues
  • Help Center - Access documentation and support articles (opens in new tab)
  • (divider)
  • Logout - Sign out of your account

Forms Page

The Forms page is your main workspace. Access it by clicking Forms in the navigation.

Forms List View

  • Form cards - Each form shows name, publish toggle, last edited date, submission count, and completion rate
  • Icon buttons - Quick-access buttons for Sessions, Analytics, Share, and Preview
  • Three-dot menu (...) - Additional actions (Edit, Duplicate, Move, Delete)
  • New form button - Start building a new form
  • Folders sidebar - Organize forms into folders (desktop) or use the folder dropdown (mobile)
  • Search - Search forms by name

Form Icon Buttons

Each form card displays a row of icon buttons for quick access:

  • Sessions (table icon) - View all form submissions and response data
  • Analytics (chart icon) - View form analytics and performance metrics
  • Share (share icon) - Get form URL and embed code (visible only when form is published)
  • Preview (external link icon) - Open form in a new tab (visible only when form is published)

Three-Dot Menu Actions

Click the ... (three dots) on any form to access:

  • Edit - Open the form builder to modify fields and settings
  • Duplicate - Create a copy of the form
  • Move to folder - Move the form to a different folder
  • Delete - Permanently remove the form (requires confirmation)

Settings Section

Access from the hamburger menu > Settings. The Settings page has a sidebar with the following items:

  • Integrations - Connect SendFox, Google Sheets, and Zapier
  • Webhook - Configure webhook URLs to receive form submission data (Individual Plan and above)
  • Meta Pixel - Set up Facebook/Meta Pixel tracking (Individual Plan and above)
  • API - Access API documentation and manage API tokens

Note: Webhook and Meta Pixel show a "Individual Plan" badge and require the Individual plan or higher.

Plan Page

Access from the hamburger menu > Plan

What You'll Find

  • Current tier - Free Plan or Individual Plan
  • Features - List of available features for your plan
  • Usage meters - Track AI generations, responses, forms, workspaces, and team members
  • Upgrade options - Link to AppSumo for lifetime deals

Help Center Access

Quick access to documentation and support resources:

  • Click hamburger menu > Help Center
  • Opens FormRobin FAQ in a new browser tab
  • Search articles for setup guides, troubleshooting, and feature documentation
  • Find answers to common questions about forms, integrations, and account settings

Form Builder Interface

When editing a form, you'll see a single-canvas layout where you build your form directly.

Builder Layout

  • Center canvas - The main area where your form fields are displayed and can be rearranged via drag-and-drop
  • Add field button (+) - Click the plus button between fields to add new questions from a dropdown of 13 field types
  • Field toolbar - Hover over any field to reveal editing controls (duplicate, delete, move)
  • Top toolbar - Save, preview, share, and settings buttons

Form Settings Panel

Click Settings in the form builder toolbar to open a floating settings panel (positioned to the side of the canvas). The panel contains toggle switches for:

  • Publish form - Make your form publicly accessible and accepting submissions
  • Enable email notifications - Get notified at your account email when someone submits your form
  • Multi-page mode - Show one question at a time with navigation buttons
  • Enable custom redirect - Redirect users to a custom URL after form submission (Individual Plan and above). When enabled, a URL input field appears.

Close the settings panel by clicking the X button in the top-right corner of the panel.

Responses View

Click the Sessions icon button (table icon) on a form card to see:

  • Submissions list - All form responses in chronological order
  • Response details - Click any submission to view full details
  • Export - Download responses as CSV
  • Search/filter - Find specific submissions
  • File downloads - Access uploaded files from submissions
  • Bulk actions - Select multiple submissions to delete at once

Mobile Navigation

On mobile devices:

  • Tap hamburger icon to open navigation menu
  • Main sections accessible from collapsed menu
  • Forms list optimized for mobile viewing
  • Folder navigation via dropdown selector

Keyboard Shortcuts

Speed up your workflow:

  • Ctrl/Cmd + S - Save form changes (in form builder)
  • Esc - Close modals and popups
  • Tab - Navigate between form fields
  • Enter - Navigate to next page (multi-page forms)
  • Ctrl + Enter - Navigate to next page from textarea fields

Navigation Tips

  • Click form cards - Clicking anywhere on a form card opens the Sessions/Responses view
  • Browser back button - Works as expected in most sections
  • Open in new tab - Right-click forms to open in new tab
  • Bookmark important pages - Direct links to forms work for quick access
  • Use folders - Organize forms into folders for easier navigation
  • Quick help - Use the Help Center link for instant access to documentation

Troubleshooting Navigation

Issue: Menu items not responding

Fix: Refresh page or clear browser cache. Try disabling browser extensions.

Issue: Can't find Settings or Plan page

Fix: Click the hamburger menu in top right corner to access dropdown.

Issue: Navigation looks broken on mobile

Fix: Ensure browser is updated. Try rotating device or using desktop view.

Issue: Help Center link not opening

Fix: Check your browser's popup blocker settings. The Help Center opens in a new tab and may be blocked by default. Add FormRobin to your allowed sites list.

Q: Where is the dashboard?

A: The dashboard appears automatically when you log in. It shows analytics overview cards, recent activity, and top forms.

Q: How do I access form settings?

A: Edit the form, then click Settings in the top toolbar. A floating settings panel will appear with toggle switches for publish status, email notifications, multi-page mode, and custom redirect.

Q: Can I customize the navigation menu?

A: No, the navigation structure is fixed but you can organize forms with folders.
