Duplicating Forms
Create copies of existing forms to save time when building similar forms.
What Is Form Duplication?
Form duplication creates a copy of a form including all fields, settings, and conditional logic. This saves time when you need multiple forms with similar structure or want to test changes without affecting the original.
How to Duplicate a Form
- Go to Forms from the dashboard
- Find the form you want to duplicate
- Click the ... (three dots) menu for that form
- Select Duplicate
- The copy appears with "(Copy)" appended to the name
- Edit the duplicate form to rename or customize it

What Gets Copied?
- Form name - with " (Copy)" suffix added
- All form fields - field types, labels, placeholders, validation
- Field order - exact layout and positioning
- Conditional logic - all show/hide rules and dependencies
- Email notifications - notification enabled/disabled setting
- Custom redirect - post-submission redirect URL
- Folder location - duplicate stays in same folder
- Multi-page mode - single-page or multi-page display setting
- Form styling - design and branding settings stored in form data
What Does NOT Get Copied?
- Form responses - submissions stay with original form
- Form URL/slug - duplicate gets new unique URL
- Published status - duplicate starts as unpublished draft
- Share token - new security token generated
- View count - analytics start from zero
- Submission history - no past submissions included
- Integrations - SendFox lists and Google Sheets connections are not copied and must be set up again on the duplicate
- reCAPTCHA setting - the duplicate always starts with reCAPTCHA enabled (the default), regardless of the original form's setting

- Testing changes - Duplicate form to test edits without affecting live version
- Similar forms - Create multiple event registration forms with minor variations
- Seasonal versions - Duplicate annual forms and update dates/details

After Duplicating a Form
- Rename - Remove "(Copy)" and give descriptive name
- Review fields - Verify all fields copied correctly
- Update content - Change form title, descriptions, field labels as needed
- Reconnect integrations - Set up SendFox, Google Sheets, or other integrations on the duplicate
- Check reCAPTCHA - Adjust reCAPTCHA setting if your original had it disabled
- Test thoroughly - Submit test responses before sharing
- Update redirect URL - Change thank-you page if different
- Publish - When ready, publish the duplicate form
Permissions Required
- Must have view access to the original form
- Must have write access to the folder if form is in a folder
- Duplicate form is owned by the user who duplicated it
Limitations
- Cannot duplicate forms from other users' accounts
- Duplication uses one of your workspace/form limits
- File uploads from original form NOT copied to duplicate
- Cannot bulk duplicate multiple forms at once
- Integrations (SendFox, Google Sheets) must be reconnected on the duplicate
Troubleshooting
Issue: Can't find Duplicate option
Fix: Ensure you have permission to view the form. Check the three-dot menu on the Forms page.
Issue: Duplicate appears but missing fields
Fix: Refresh the page and open the duplicate. If fields still missing, try duplicating again.
Issue: Conditional logic not working on duplicate
Fix: Review conditional rules - they should copy but verify field IDs updated correctly.
Issue: Integration not working on duplicate
Fix: Integrations such as SendFox and Google Sheets are not copied during duplication. You need to reconnect them on the duplicate form.

Q: Can I duplicate a form to a different folder?
A: Yes, after duplicating you can move the copy to any folder you have access to.
Q: Will duplicating affect the original form?
A: No, the original form remains unchanged. Changes to the duplicate don't affect the original.
Q: Are my integrations copied when I duplicate?
A: No. SendFox lists and Google Sheets connections are not carried over. You will need to set them up again on the duplicate form.
Q: How many times can I duplicate a form?
A: As many as needed, within your workspace form limits.
